TaiyangNews Talked To LONGi Solar President Zhengguo Li About Answers Of The World’s Leading Monocrystalline Silicon Cell/Module Manufacturer For The PV3.0 Era

LONGi reported an operating income of RMB6,276 million (US$952 million), down 2.3% from the prior year period. 
Having experienced a softening in demand in the first quarter of 2017, sales picked-up strongly in the second quarter as operating income increased by around 44%, quarter-on-quarter.

At Solar Power International trade show in Las Vegas, LONGi Solar, the world’s largest manufacturer of monocrystalline solar cells & modules, introduced its 300W+ solar module series, based on 60-cell standard modules with over 300W nominal power and 72-cell modules exceeding 360W.

On August 2, 2017, at the invitation of LONGi Solar, Prof. Zhao Jianhua and Prof. Wang Aihua, a couple who both are PV technology experts and professors of Sanjiang University, Prof. Alison Lennon and Dr. Ouyang Zi of the University of New South Wales visited LONGi Solar and exchanged academic opinions with Li Zhenguo, President of LONGi Group, and Dr. Lu Jun, Vice President of Product, LONGi Solar. 

Recently, a PV industry forum was held by famous Japanese industry magazine Solar Journal in Tokyo, Japan, focusing on the topic of “ The development of Japanese PV market after three month lowering FIT”. Mr. Kenjiro Shibata-san, Technical Manager of LONGi Solar, was invited to deliver a keynote speech at the forum, and Mr. Yoshimi Murakami-san, Special Counsel of LONGi Solar, gave a speech at the dinner on that day.

Recently, LONGi Solar received test report from TÜV Rheinland that its latest 60 cell Hi-MO1 module achieved power output of 325.6W under standard testing condition (STC) with conversion efficiency reaching 19.91%. This is another power record of Hi-MO1 series products achieved by LONGi Solar following the 316.6W record set at the end of 2016.

In 2016, China's newly installed capacity of distributed PV was 4.24 million kilowatts, an increase of 200% year on year.
